Tips For Creating A Zoom Room

How many Zoom calls have you been on where you see more of the other person’s bedroom ceiling than their head? Where the lighting could only be described as “gloomy”, and the sound reminds you of a tin can on a string?

My wife and I recently turned a basement bedroom closet into our own Zoom Room – a great spot to hold those online meetings, with plenty of good lighting, some nice simple background decorations, a stand to make sure the cameras are at eye level, and some sound dampening panels on the walls.

Of course, not everyone has the space to make a Zoom Room, but there are some principles that can translate to whatever space you make your online calls from!
