My Winter Camping Secret Weapon: Milwaukee M12 Heated Hoodie (Home Depot Review)

I love to go out camping in the winter; it’s quiet, beautiful, and cheap. Of course, it’s also a lot colder, which is why I was very happy to test out my new secret weapon for winter camping, the Milwaukee M12 Heated Hoodie. I picked mine up at Home Depot on Black Friday (In Canada, it’s… In the US, it’s…), which meant I got the charger for free with the purchase of the hoodie. Pretty great deal! The charger does a great job of refilling the battery in a hurry, but my only complaint was the lack of a 12V cigarette lighter adapter, which would have made the charger a great travel item.

The battery pack itself is about the size of a small condiment bottle, and while as heavy as any other power-tool battery, it rides quite nicely in the pocket on your left-hand side, and 99% of the time, you don’t even notice it. The heat is great, and while some complain that it only has three heat zones (one on either side of the chest, and one big one on the back), I found it more than enough to keep me warm!
